Today I took another stab at setting up a gate/compressor/limiter in the blanket fort. Turns out that even though it is a cheap peace of gear, the Behringer Composer Pro MDX2600 is not so bad as long as you stay away from the noise gate functions. Got this dialed to the point that @eyerollsohard and I can cycle through the full spectrum of emotions that automotive enthusiasm brings without peaking the levels as one says.
